Problem 1: Spinner

A spinner has 12 equal-sized sections. The sections are labelled 1 through 12. What is the probability that Frieda will spin a multiple of 3 on her first spin?

Problem 2: Blood and Marriage

Blood comes in four types: O, A, B,  and AB.  The percentages of people in the United States with each blood type are shown below.

Problems:
i)   What is the probability that two people getting married both have blood type O? 

ii)   What is the probability that two people getting married both have the same blood type? 
    

Problem 3: The Class Makeup

In a class of 30 students, there are 17 girls and 13 boys. Five are A students, and three of these students are girls. If a student is chosen at random, what is the probability of choosing a girl or an A student?
